- Write scientific names in italics or underlined — examiners check this
- Bold or underline the main chemical constituent in answers
- Write therapeutic uses as numbered/bulleted list — never as paragraph
- Always mention plant family — asked in MCQ and scores in long answers too
- Allocate 15–18 minutes per 5-mark long answer
- Use clear headings for each section — improves presentation marks
